Welcome to Intern Dock ("we," "our," or "us"). Intern Dock is an internship search and application tracking platform for students. Because you trust us with your resume and your job search, this policy describes in plain language exactly what we collect, where it goes, how it is protected, and how you can delete all of it yourself at any time.
Information you provide:
Information generated as you use Intern Dock:
We never receive or store your card number. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe; we only see whether your subscription is active and when it renews.
We use the information we collect to:
We also measure how well our own ads work. When you arrive from an ad on Reddit, Facebook, or Instagram, measurement tags report anonymous actions such as a page view, a sign-up, a subscription start, or a subscription payment to those platforms, which may also use them to improve who our ads are shown to. We do not send them your resume, your applications, or the content you type into our tools, and we do not sell your personal information.
Features such as resume review, resume building, cover letter writing, interview preparation, and internship matching send the relevant content — which may include your resume text and the job description you provide — to an AI model provider so it can generate your result. That content is sent only to produce the output you requested.
We do not sell your content, and we do not use your resume or application data to train AI models. Results are stored on your account so you can return to them, and they are deleted when you delete your account.
Intern Dock runs on managed cloud infrastructure, and your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Beyond that baseline, the specific protections in place are:
No method of transmission or storage over the Internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we ever become aware of a breach affecting your personal data, we will notify affected users.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers. We rely on a small number of service providers to operate the platform, each of which receives only what it needs to do its job:
We may also disclose information when required by law or valid legal process, to protect our rights or the safety of users, or in connection with a merger or acquisition — in which case we would notify you and this policy would continue to apply to the transferred data.
We keep your profile, resume, applications, and generated content for as long as your account is open, so your work is there when you come back. You can delete any individual item at any time from within the app, and you can erase everything at once by deleting your account.
When you delete your account, your data is removed immediately rather than being archived. The one exception is a limited billing record retained by Stripe — such as invoice and transaction history — which we and Stripe are required to keep for tax and accounting purposes. That record does not include your resume or application content.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
You can exercise the access and correction rights directly in the app, and the deletion right through the section below. For anything else, email us and we will action it. We will never charge you or require a subscription to exercise these rights, and we will not degrade your service for doing so.
You can permanently delete your account and all associated personal data at any time, yourself, at no cost and without a subscription. Sign in, go to Settings, and use the Delete account section at the bottom of the page. Deletion is immediate and irreversible: it removes your profile, uploaded resume, applications, contacts, calendar tasks, goals, saved searches, usage history, and your login itself, and cancels any active subscription or trial.
If you cannot access your account or want us to process a data request on your behalf, email us at the address below and we will action it.
We use browser storage and cookies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and cache data locally so pages load quickly. These are essential to running the platform, and clearing your browser storage will sign you out.
We also use advertising measurement cookies from Reddit Ads and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) to see which of our ads bring students to Intern Dock. If you are in a region where consent is required, such as the EU, the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, these are set only after you accept them in our cookie banner, and nothing is measured if you decline. When you are signed in, we save your choice with your account, along with Meta's browser identifiers and your browser type if you accepted, so that when a subscription payment happens later we can report that payment and its amount to Meta from our servers only if you still allow it; we do not send your email or name with it. You can change your choice at any time using the button below, and we do not sell tracking data.
Intern Dock is operated from the United States, and your information is stored and processed in the United States by us and our service providers. If you access the platform from another country, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your own country.
Our services are not intended for individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected information from a child, we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
