1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Intern Dock ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time, and your continued use constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Description of Service

Intern Dock provides an internship management platform that includes application tracking, AI-powered resume optimization, cover letter generation, interview preparation, and internship search tools. The Service is designed to help students and job seekers streamline their internship application process.

3. Account Registration

To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your password and account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. Subscription and Payments

Some features require a paid subscription ("Pro Plan"). By subscribing:

  • You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis
  • Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly basis
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis at our discretion
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Violate any laws in your jurisdiction
  • Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent content
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
  • Transmit viruses, malware, or other malicious code
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users

6. User Content

You retain full ownership of content you upload (resumes, cover letters, notes, application data). By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display it solely for the purpose of operating the Service for you — for example, saving your resume so you don't have to re-upload it, or sending a job description to an AI model to generate the output you requested. This license is not transferable to advertisers, is not used to train AI models, and ends when you delete the content or your account. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any content you upload. See our Privacy Policy for details on how content is handled and protected. We may remove content that violates these terms.

7. AI-Generated Content

Our Service uses artificial intelligence to generate suggestions, optimizations, and content. AI-generated content is provided for guidance only. You are responsible for reviewing and editing all AI-generated content before use. We do not guarantee the accuracy, appropriateness, or effectiveness of AI-generated content. Use of AI features is subject to usage limits based on your subscription tier.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by Intern Dock and protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express permission.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on a small number of third-party providers for hosting and storage, payment processing, AI model processing, email delivery, and public internship listings. Each is named, along with what it receives, in our Privacy Policy. Your use of any third-party service is subject to its own terms and privacy policy, and we are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party services. Job listings and application links point to external employer sites that we do not control.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT YOU WILL OBTAIN ANY SPECIFIC RESULTS FROM USING THE SERVICE, INCLUDING SECURING AN INTERNSHIP.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INTERN DOCK SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Intern Dock and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

13. Termination

You may close your account at any time, free of charge and without a subscription, using the Delete account section in Settings. Doing so immediately and permanently deletes your profile, uploaded resume, applications, contacts, calendar tasks, goals, saved searches, and usage history, and cancels any active subscription or trial. This cannot be undone.

We may terminate or suspend your account for violations of these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. If we terminate your account, you may request deletion or a copy of your data by emailing us at the address below.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
