Job Posting Title Internship - EHS Intern Job Description Summary The Temporary EHS Intern will support the Environmental, Health & Safety function at Oxford Forge by assisting with daily EHS activities, compliance initiatives, safety inspections, training, documentation, and continuous improvement projects. This role will gain hands-on experience in a metal-forming manufacturing environment while supporting the plant’s commitment to maintaining a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace.

The intern will work closely with EHS and plant leadership to help identify safety opportunities, track corrective actions, maintain records, support employee engagement initiatives, and assist with special EHS projects as assigned. This is a temporary position designed to provide additional support to the EHS function while providing valuable practical experience for an individual pursuing a career in Environmental Health & Safety.

Job Description

Assist with routine workplace safety inspections and observations. Support identification and documentation of workplace hazards and safety opportunities. Assist with tracking corrective and preventive actions through completion. Support EHS-related training, including preparation of training materials and documentation. Assist with maintaining required EHS records, reports, forms, and documentation. Participate in safety meetings and employee engagement activities. Assist with incident documentation, investigations, and follow-up activities as directed. Support safety audits and compliance inspections. Assist with maintaining Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and chemical-related documentation. Support environmental compliance activities and required recordkeeping. Assist with monitoring housekeeping, PPE usage, machine guarding, ergonomics, and other workplace safety requirements.
