Internship questions, answered

Where can I find internships in my field?

Start with a field collection such as software engineering, marketing, accounting or finance. Compare the role, location and employer requirements on individual internship pages. The company guides can help you understand a specific employer’s programme before you prepare an application.

When should I apply for a summer internship?

Recruiting calendars vary by employer and programme. Check the employer’s published dates rather than relying on one universal deadline. Our summer recruiting timeline and company guides provide a starting point; keep checking current openings because smaller employers and off-cycle programmes may recruit at different times.

Does every internship show a salary or hourly rate?

No. Pay appears only when it is supplied by the employer’s listing; missing pay is not an estimate or evidence that a role is unpaid. The paid-internship collection groups roles with disclosed pay. Check the currency and payment period when comparing hourly, annual and stipend amounts.

Can a remote internship be done from any country?

Not necessarily. Remote describes the work arrangement, not unrestricted eligibility. Employers can still require residence in a particular country, work authorisation or specific time-zone availability. Review each role’s stated requirements before applying.

Do the internship collections stay up to date?

Collections reflect the current listings available in Intern Dock as new roles arrive and others close. A collection is a starting point, not a complete list of every internship. A closed role is marked as closed on its internship page and is no longer presented as an active opportunity.

Can I explore without an account, and how do I apply?

Yes. This directory, the public collections, company guides and individual internship pages are available without signing in. Employer application links and the full internship board require a signed-in account with access through a subscription or eligible trial. Starting your search keeps your destination through sign-up and access checks.
