Inside Sales and Field Sales The purpose of the Sales internship is to provide meaningful, hands-on professional experience to students with proven academic performance and leadership potential. Abbott hires students majoring in a range of areas, including marketing, sales, and business, based on business need. Ideal candidates combine technical and business knowledge with analytical strength and creative problem-solving abilities. Inside Sales and Field Sales internship trains and develops future sales professionals within the Cancer Diagnostics division through cross-functional project work and direct customer and stakeholder interactions. Interns build the foundational skills needed for a career in healthcare sales, choosing a track in either commercial strategy or field-based sales.
