Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to be based in Arlington, VA. This position is expected to begin in Summer 2027. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Performs specific portions of a broader assignment under the mentoring of an experienced engineer. Prepares designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings and working drawings. Evaluate, select, apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and judgement based on experience to design HVAC systems in buildings using building information modeling. Coordinate with other discipline Engineers as applicable for the continuity of the design process. Participate in design progress and coordination meetings. Assist with the design content by applying both design and technical knowledge to ensure high-quality outputs under project timelines.
