Schedule Details/Additional Information

Every third weekend, 2 holidays per year, one 4-hour evening shift every 1-2 weeks. 10-hour shifts.

Pay Range

$25.00 - $25.00

Major Responsibilities

Under general supervision of a pharmacist, performs duties of a pharmacy technician such as: filling medication orders, delivering medications, compounding sterile and non-sterile preparations, interviewing patients to obtain medication histories, etc. Provides pharmacy services to the patient care areas and customers by performing clerical duties in the pharmacy to ensure efficient operations and performs duties related to medication ordering, receipt, stocking, and inventory control. Receives and interprets prescriptions for outpatients and enters them into the pharmacy computer system. Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships, and team building.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required

Intern registration: NC, SC, GA Licensure: GA (intern), IL (tech) Permit: AL Certification: SC Tech registration: WI

Education Required

High School Diploma or GED equivalent and current enrollment in an accredited College of Pharmacy in the 1st year of the program required.

Proficient computer skills Works well with management and pharmacy staff Solid communication, analytical, and organizational skills
