Internship – Public Relations (Year-Round)

About the Role

An effective media relations program is vital to Baird’s strong brand, advances Baird’s business priorities and contributes to our commitment to being a great place to work. The Public Relations intern works directly with Baird’s Public Relations team, supports the internal Communications team and collaborates with associates in the Marketing & Communications Department to plan, develop and implement programs to effectively communicate and measure progress of Baird’s brand both internally and externally. This is a hybrid internship, working four days per week in our downtown Milwaukee, WI office and one day remote. The intern must be able to work full time during the summer, 37.5-40 hours per week, and work part time during the school semesters, 15-20 hours per week. We are seeking a local student who can start in May 2027.

The Impact You’ll Make

Track coverage across Baird’s earned media program and properly measure impact against key business and firm strategies Assist with Baird’s overall media relations efforts, helping create news releases and other media correspondence, developing media lists, coordinating reprints Support the generation of PR and Communications reports by leveraging dashboards from trackers Partner with operations on strategic initiatives to support continuous improvement projects across Corporate Communications Coordinate relevant news postings to Baird’s websites and social media accounts Conduct research for media relations purposes Prioritize media inquiries and fulfill reporter requests Manage the creation and execution of internal news stories Assist with communications and media relations efforts for community involvement and sponsorship opportunities as appropriate (ex.
