What You’ll Do This Summer…

• The Food Safety & Quality Internship (Summer 2027) is a 10-12-week paid assignment.
• This intern will provide support on a variety of food safety research projects including:
• Heavy metals in root vegetables
• Phytonutrients in fruits and vegetables
• Assessing soil amendments for root vegetables
• Updating our current knowledge to support optimizing our food safety plan
• Reading current literature
• Reviewing Federal and State regulations
• The internship is designed to provide a student with real world experience to support professional development.
• Students would have the opportunity to participate in roundtable discussions, corporate meetings, networking events and/or community activities.
• Internships will involve value added assignments with the opportunity to interact with various departments to acquire relevant skills.
• The focus of projects would be in support of product testing, data analytics and new product innovation support.
