Safety Specialist Intern - 2027

Job Summary

We’re looking for a motivated and detail‑oriented Safety Specialist Intern to join our team and support our mission of creating a safe, compliant, and proactive workplace. In this role, you’ll assist our safety professionals with daily field activities, compliance tasks, and continuous improvement projects that keep our operations running safely and efficiently. This internship offers hands‑on experience, collaborative team exposure, and the chance to make a meaningful impact on workplace well‑being.

What You Will Do

In this role, the intern supports routine safety inspections, audits, and walkthroughs across operational areas while helping track, document, and analyze key safety data such as observations, incident reports, and corrective actions. They assist in developing and updating safety procedures, training materials, and communication content, and actively participate in safety meetings while coordinating employee training sessions. The intern contributes to hazard identification, risk assessments, and various improvement initiatives, and provides valuable field support on safety projects, PPE programs, and ergonomic evaluations.

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor’s or graduate

program in occupational safety & health, environmental safety & health, safety management, industrial hygiene, or a related field

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to learn and contribute to a collaborative technical environment
• U.S. citizenship

A Successful Candidate Brings

• Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, or PowerPoint for data analysis and

reporting

• Completion of at least one year of college-level coursework in an

occupational safety, industrial hygiene, or related program

Pay
