Commercial Summer Internship Program

The Commercial Summer Internship Program is designed to give interns a look at Citizens Bank’s culture and exposure into one of the many commercial banking business lines through project-based assignments, learning curriculum, networking, volunteer opportunities and formal mentorship. Responsibilities will vary based on the group you’re assigned to and will leverage your unique skills and abilities. At the conclusion of the program, high-performing interns will receive early consideration for full-time opportunities within the line of business in which they completed their summer internship.

Opportunities Within Commercial Banking, there are two opportunities in Atlanta.

• Mid Corp PM: You will work alongside Portfolio Managers, Credit Analysts, and

Relationship Managers to support loan underwriting, portfolio monitoring, and business development efforts for commercial banking clients. Responsibilities include conducting financial and credit analysis, preparing financial models and credit approval materials, monitoring client reporting and covenant compliance, performing industry and market research, and participating in client meetings, team discussions, and special projects to gain broad exposure to commercial banking and relationship management.

• Mid Corp RM: You will work alongside Portfolio Managers, Credit Analysts, and

Relationship Managers to support credit underwriting, portfolio monitoring, financial analysis, industry research, and client development activities. The role provides hands-on exposure to live transactions, client interactions, and commercial banking decision-making while working closely with experienced banking professionals.
