Intern - Trading

Sunoco, L.P., the nation’s largest fuel distribution company, is looking for an intern to join our fast-paced, high impact supply and trading team in Philadelphia. Wholesale distribution is our key focus. In addition to our premier Sunoco fuel brand, we distribute more than 10 fuel brands to approximately 10,000 convenience stores across the United States. Sunoco, L.P., the leading operator of critical energy infrastructure and North America’s largest independent fuel distributor, is looking for interns to join one of our fast-paced, high impact teams in Philadelphia, PA, We are seeking to fill roles in the following departments: Supply, Trading, Pricing Race Fuels and Business Development This is a twelve (12) week paid internship program beginning May 2027. You must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program with an expected graduation date in Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Ideal candidate expectations, roles and responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Collaborate daily with team members and executives to learn Sunoco’s Fuel Business. Develop metrics and provide reports for business optimization and monitoring; use analysis to help identify potential opportunities. Assist with management of asset and customer data for integration of new business into Sunoco systems. Meet and work with various team members to learn the ins and outs of corporate environment. Review data, such as expenses, fuel margins and prices, to identify exceptions, report key metrics, and develop corrective actions. Review fuel market data and help develop tools for analysis and monitoring. Perform project work to support one or several of the following Commercial teams: Fuel Pricing, Fuel Supply, Logistics, Trading, Midstream, Quality, and Systems Setup.
