The Role

Our site in Aurora, IL is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2027 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated EHS Co-Op to join our Environmental, Health & Safety team. This role will provide hands-on experience supporting key safety and compliance initiatives while contributing to our organization’s overall safety culture. The co-op will assist with ongoing projects, audits, and employee engagement activities tied to our defined EHS objectives

What You’ll Do

Support the implementation and continuous improvement of EHS programs, focusing on: Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures Machine guarding initiatives Ergonomic risk assessments and improvements Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety Management) systems Assist in conducting audits, inspections, and gap analyses related to the above objectives. Participate in EHS training development and employee engagement initiatives to promote a strong safety culture. Collect, analyze, and present EHS data to support performance metrics and reporting. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement corrective and preventive actions. Provide general support to the EHS department as assigned.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
