What You’ll Do: As our Property Claims Intern, you will make important contributions to the Farm Bureau claim experience with our client/members. Assisting with claims, including preparing claims reports and entering information in claim files. Making contact with client members and providing customer service. As an intern, you will also participate in corporate activities designed to provide exposure to our industry, organization, and culture. Our internship program follows an 80/10/10 approach: 80% of your time will be spent performing meaningful work and project-based assignments within your department. 10% of your time will be dedicated to learning from and networking with employees in other areas of the organization. 10% of your time will be spent participating in shared internship experiences that provide insight into our culture, leadership, and business operations. This opportunity is a great way for you to get your foot in the door and spend your summer gaining entry level claims/insurance experience, as well as general corporate, real-world exposure.

What It Takes to Join Our Team

Be a current full-time college student. Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, while paying attention to detail. Be available to work about 35 hours/per week from our office in West Des Moines, Iowa during summer 2027.
