Where You Will Work

Interns are assigned to various locations in Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, and Iowa, supporting our business in a variety of disciplines. What You Will Do Over the course of our 10-12 week internship experience you will have the opportunity to work directly with a mentor in Health & Safety and/or Industrial Hygiene while finding solutions to real world problems. Interact directly with our company leaders to discuss tactical steps to reduce workplace exposure and help keep our workplace safe and healthy. You will gain the skills and knowledge to become future leaders in the mining industry. Building a lasting professional network through social events and engaging activities.

Health & Safety specialists are critical in the evaluation of health & safety risks, determining how best to mitigate the hazards as well as maintaining regulatory compliance. As part of your internship, you will get hands on experience in:

Going out into the mine, processing and manufacturing areas to identify health & safety hazards and assist in developing corrective actions plans to eliminate these. Conducting fatal risk management assessments and identifying potential hazards in the workplace. Attending daily lineout meetings with employees and leaders to cover sa
