Intern - Origination & Capital Mkts (NY)

Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following: Contribute to weekly market intelligence and deal activity reporting Track and analyze sponsor, borrower, and deal activity across the market thru excel trackers and dashboards Research private equity firms, borrowers, investment banks, and industry sectors to help prepare meeting materials and relationship coverage plans Gain exposure to transaction evaluation and screening Present a Final Project at the conclusion of the program to senior members of the firm Candidate Profile Bachelor's or Master's students in a quantitative field, including Economics, Econometrics, Finance, Applied Math and Statistics are preferred 2 years of financial coursework preferred Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel Demonstrable passion for financial markets Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent oral and written communication skills since interaction with senior level management will be required Location New York, NY Hybrid Work Schedule 4/1 split (Monday-Thursday work from office, Friday optional work from home) Employment Type Full-time, Non-Exempt HPS Investment Partners is an equal opportunity employer.
