Job Title: Retail Pharmacy Intern Department: Pharmacy FLSA: Non-Exempt General Function Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service. Fills prescriptions in accordance with all state and federal statutes and regulations under supervision of registered pharmacist. Core Competencies Partnerships Growth mindset Results oriented Customer focused Professionalism Reporting Relations Accountable and Reports to: District Store Director, Store Manager, Pharmacy Department Manager Positions that Report to you: None Primary Duties and Responsibilities Fills and helps process prescriptions Provides prompt and efficient service Assists with inventory control, maintaining inventory levels by ordering and stocking merchandise, checking invoices, and entering inventory information into the computer Works with co-workers as a team to ensure strict adherence to standard operating procedures and facility policies Prepares prescriptions Reports any medication errors to appropriate personnel Prepares and affixes labels to prescription containers Assists in training employees Assists with monthly inventory Follows security and regulatory procedures including Quality Assurance Programs Maintains cleanliness of pharmacy and dispensing area Maintains a professional appearance Adheres to company policies Reports to work when scheduled and on time Secondary Duties and Responsibilities Assists in other areas of the store as needed. Performs other job related duties and special projects as required. Supervisory Responsibilities None Education and Experience Six months or less of similar or related work experience.
