The Role and Why It's Important Our Retail Pharmacy Interns gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced retail pharmacy setting while working toward their pharmacy degree. In this role, you'll fill prescriptions under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, assist with inventory and quality assurance, and help deliver the exceptional patient care that Hy-Vee is known for. What You'll Do

No two shifts are exactly the same, but here's what you can expect: Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile and making every interaction a positive one Fill and help process prescriptions under the supervision of a registered pharmacist in accordance with all state and federal statutes and regulations Prepare prescriptions and affix labels to prescription containers Report any medication errors to appropriate personnel Assist with inventory control including ordering, stocking merchandise, checking invoices, and entering inventory information Assist with monthly inventory and follow security and regulatory procedures including Quality Assurance Programs Assist in training pharmacy employees Maintain the cleanliness of the pharmacy and dispensing area Maintain the confi
