About the role

At Keros, our mission is to deliver significant clinical benefit to a wide range of patients with disorders that are linked to dysfunctional signaling of the transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-ß) family of proteins. With a focus on developing differentiated product candidates that are designed to alter TGF-β signaling, we aim to target the pathways critical for the growth, repair and maintenance of blood cells and a number of tissues, including bone, skeletal muscle, adipose and heart tissue. We believe our product candidates have the potential to unlock the full therapeutic benefits of modulating the TGF-β superfamily and provide disease-modifying benefit to patients.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact in the discovery and development of next-generation therapies. The candidate will gain valuable industry experience and receive extensive training to perform in vivo and ex vivo research. A successful candidate for this role will be inquisitive about science and capable of overcoming challenges by reviewing literature and by learning from colleagues. This candidate will also learn how to design experiments that will test hypotheses and provide actionable results. Primary Responsibilities Assist in conducting in vivo studies with animal models of neuromuscular diseases. Carry out ex vivo analysis on mouse tissue samples using a variety of molecular biology techniques. This will include performing tissue sectioning and histological analysis, behavior tests, gene expression analysis (qPCR), and protein analysis.
