Construction Intern - Summer 2027 (Midwest)

Job Description

Construction Interns will assist Project Managers and Project Superintendents in project planning, buyout, project management, and closeout. This role will involve assisting in obtaining, coordinating and distributing the information and authorizations required to construct the project on time, within budget and to the Landmark’s quality standards. The Summer Construction Internship program will run from June 1, 2027, through August 6, 2027. Possible onsite locations include Ann Arbor, MI; Columbia, MO; Madison, WI; Minneapolis, MN; and West Lafayette, IN. Please note these locations are subject to change. Construction Interns will learn about

Landmark processes and procedures as they relate to managing the project. Landmark safety and quality management programs and ensure contractor compliance. Managing the project budget by controlling expenditures, coordinating billings, and identifying work not covered by subcontractor. How to maintain RFI logs and change request log.

Construction interns will assist with

Ensuring the overall success of costs and schedule. Reviewing and processing submittal data and shop drawings. Coordinating submittals, RFI’s, deliveries and inspections, along with analyzing how they affect the project schedule. Completing daily logs, status reports and weekly subcontractor meeting minutes. Change requests, change proposals for price reviews. Documenting and taking progress photos of job site. Resolving punch-list issues prior to occupancy. Obtaining occupancy of the project. Maintaining closeout log and obtaining all closeout documents, warranties and log information. Obtaining Certificate of Substantial Completion. Assembling and preparing final record
