GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE
The Enterprise Power BI Reporting Intern supports the Enterprise Data & Analytics team in developing, enhancing, and administering enterprise reporting solutions using Microsoft Power BI. This position provides hands-on experience in business intelligence, report development, semantic modeling, reporting governance, and Power BI administration while contributing to real enterprise initiatives. Working alongside data engineers, business analysts, and report developers, the intern will assist in the development of an enterprise Power BI application and help establish the standards that support Loram's modern reporting platform. The role offers exposure to enterprise data architecture, business intelligence best practices, and modern analytics technologies while building practical skills that prepare the student for a career in analytics, business intelligence, or application development.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Develop Power BI reports, dashboards, and applications that support enterprise reporting needs. Assist in the design, testing, deployment, and maintenance of Power BI reporting solutions. Support the development and documentation of semantic models, datasets, business metrics, and DAX measures. Assist in developing reporting governance practices, including report certification, semantic model standards, security, and lifecycle management. Support Power BI administration activities, including workspace management, report deployment, dataset refreshes, and environment organization. Validate report accuracy through testing and data reconciliation. Work with business users to gather requirements, test solutions, and support report enhancements.
