Job Description

Overall Purpose and Objective of Position The Trader Trainee Internship is the first step in your career at LDC. It is an immersive 10-week paid program designed to equip you with the tools and knowledge you will need to thrive at LDC. You will learn about the commodities industry by working side-by-side with our industry experts. Our interns don’t learn by watching, they learn by getting involved in real trades. This “on-the-job” training demands a wide range of skills, including the knowledge and use of statistical information, particularly supply/demand economics, and quantitative analysis. The internship is designed to develop future leaders who will solve complex problems and design innovative solutions to develop, advance, and modernize the entire food supply chain to meet the growing challenge of feeding the world. Interns will be considered for full-time employment as a Trader Trainee, after graduation. Candidates must be open to placements in Memphis, Tennessee or Wilton, Connecticut.

Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions

• Interns will complete a 10-week program and learn how to trade physical commodities in global markets while managing the substantial risks inherent in volatile markets.
