The mechanical engineering co-op student will join a multi-disciplinary R&D team that is continually and rapidly advancing new products from conception to their fully-realized, mature state - deployed around the world as the foundation of the optical internet. The team works on a variety of different products applied in optical communication networks: optical amplifiers, wavelength-selectable switches, optical channel monitors and highly-integrated circuit packs. In addition to designing the products, the team also designs the precision production tooling essential to build the products in volume. Creative, reliable tooling designs are developed, documented and built within tight schedules. What will you do in this role?
