Civil Engineering Intern

As a result of our expansive growth, we have a position available for a limited-term, full-time civil engineering intern to perform construction inspection on construction sites for aviation projects based in the greater Madison, WI area and other project sites located within the state of WI starting in May/June 2027 and ending in August/September 2027. This intern will be responsible for assisting engineers, technicians, and surveyors with civil engineering projects in the following areas: Assisting engineers, technicians, and surveyors with civil aviation projects including taxiways, runways, aprons, etc. Performing measurements and quantity calculations and preparing pay estimates Assisting with project report preparation Performing field inspection, documentation, and survey work Some technical research and writing Other tasks as assigned. A valid driver’s license, the ability to pass background checks to gain access to airport sites, and frequent travel to construction project sites approximately 95-100% of the time (may also include overnight stays) will be required.
