Basic Job Functions

The role of the Automation & Controls Engineering Intern is to contribute to the Nucor team, focusing on achieving exceptional results in the areas of safety, cost, and reliability. The role will be hands-on and interactive with the maintenance and production teams in the field. The selected candidate’s job responsibilities will include: - Learning automation/control and process fundamentals involved in steel making.- Maintenance/Engineering projects focused on safety, cost, and reliability. - Preventive & predictive maintenance programs and routines. - Routine maintenance and troubleshooting equipment and process related issues.- Learning and applying new skills in automation, controls, power transmission and pneumatics.
