As an Environmental Intern at JLG, you will support the Environmental team with initiatives focused on environmental compliance, waste reduction, process improvement, and overall operational efficiency. This role provides hands on experience in a manufacturing environment, working alongside environmental and safety professionals on projects involving waste management, sampling, inspections, audits, and continuous improvement activities.

YOUR IMPACT

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned: Assist in the direct activities of our environmental & safety teams. Work with the environmental department to reduce cost and improve efficiency. Utilize value stream mapping to analyze and improve material flow and eliminate waste. Work with waste, sampling, paint logs, and water meters. Assist with audits and inspections.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Student in a sophomore standing or greater working towards a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater.

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel. Must have the ability to communicate with a number of individuals at different management levels.
