Job Description

What is the opportunity? To provide ‘first line of defence’ trade support coverage to the Commodities trading desks in multiple markets - Oil and Gas, Base and Precious Metals, Power, Index, Agriculture, Carbon and Precious Metals. To ensure the efficient and accurate daily processing of all commodities OTC and Exchange Traded derivatives and physical trades on Openlink. This involves completion of trade validation/verification, trade reconciliation, daily/weekly/monthly reporting, daily trade resets/fixing, loading of curves and prices (MTM, settlement, and volatilities) and generation of Intraday flash trading PnL. Ensure smooth run of critical EOD batch processes to mitigate any detrimental impact on downstream feeds, risk reporting and operational losses to the firm. Involvement in all issues and queries pertinent to internal process flow of the assigned Commodities trading desks and frequent engagement in the development of new business and project initiatives, PnL break analysis and system troubleshooting as a key player across all functional parts. To ensure the efficient and accurate daily processing of all assigned tasks on the OPENLINK system. Completion of tasks including but not limited to retail trade input and validation, certificate issuance and redemption, daily and monthly reporting, and other miscellaneous tasks to support the active and fast moving team in the Commodity Operations group. What will you do?

Trade Validation / Reconciliation

Perform trade validation for Commodities derivatives and physical trades booked into the Openlink booking systems. Analyze the downstream impact of new deals, amendments, cancellations and actively communicate issues to relevant stakeholders. For trade capture errors, monitor results & exceptions, analyze underlying causes and ensure appropriate, corrective action are taken to reduce the frequency of occurrence and minimize loss due to error.
