2027 Spring Intern - Pharmaceutical Development Department Summary As part of Pharma Technical Development (PTD), Pharmaceutical Development (PTDU-P) develops safe, innovative, and effective drugs using cutting-edge technologies for formulation, manufacturing process, and analytical development. The group has long been recognized as a world leader in developing large-scale manufacturing processes, sophisticated analytical methods, and effective drug delivery systems. This internship position is located in South San Francisco, on-site.

The Opportunity

Perform analytical testing of stability samples to support drug product representative and predictive stability studies. Use thermo-kinetic modeling to evaluate the stability of biotherapeutics. Evaluate biophysical characterization techniques (e.g., DSC, DLS, rheometry) as a stability prediction tool. Generate high-quality data based on sound scientific principles and document results in electronic lab notebook. Program Highlights Intensive 6-month, full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship. Program start dates are in January (Spring) 2027. A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship. Who You Are (Required) Required Education: You meet one of the following criteria: Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree (enrolled student). Must have attained a Bachelor's Degree (not currently enrolled in a graduate program). Must be pursuing a Master's Degree (enrolled student). Must have attained a Master's Degree. Preferred Majors: Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Biophysics, or related disciplines.
