As a Merchandising Coordinator co-op student, you will experience the diverse aspects of a Pricing Analyst role. You will work both independently and, in a team, to help build, create and support pricing initiatives across our banners. You will work closely with the category management team to ensure our financial metrics are being met. There will be opportunities to be exposed to how category plans are built and gain a true understanding of the stem to stern process. You will ensure data is clean and that information is correctly updated in the system. You will also work with our operations team to varying degrees. Here’s where you’ll be focusing Coordinate, collect and analyze competitive retail prices Complete analysis and put forward suggestions to improve financial results, processes and business improvements Manage regular margins for assigned merchandising categories through system and data base applications to ensure that gross margins targets for categories are achieve Maintain regular retail pricing strategy for assigned merchandising categories using SAP Maintain and review all costing/retail documentation
