About Our Internship Program

Throughout your internship, you will have regular events, weekly lunch and learn sessions, and receive customized training from our business units. This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable insights into supporting the needs of Stanley Black & Decker both in the US and abroad. The interns will gain first-hand exposure to Stanley Black & Decker and have the opportunity to build a cross-functional professional network. Interns are expected to adapt to change and demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, creativity, and confidence. Interns must be team-oriented and collaborative.

The Job

During your internship, you will have the opportunity to support Electrical Engineering with key activities including: Performing Electrical Engineering design and testing tasks for new product development and cost reduction projects. Help prototype electronic and/or mechatronic product concepts related to power tools and related fields, battery and cell studies, wireless connectivity, and jobsite power Prepare possible solutions along with decision matrix to assist in choosing technical direction Design and construct prototypes creating bill of materials and preliminary cost analysis Present results to supervisor and Innovation / Technology leadership You will have exposure to several areas of the Electrical Engineering at Stanley Black & Decker.
