Entry Level Mechanical Engineer

SMC is actively looking for Entry Level Mechanical Engineer/Designer to help execute mechanical design for mission critical projects. Typical project types may include design of greenfield and brownfield data center facilities, design of fit-out packages for hyperscale and enterprise clients of colocation providers, data center campus planning, conceptual designs and feasibility studies, and various system calculations. This candidate will execute specific design tasks as part of a broader mechanical team while furthering their own knowledge and developing their skills. The candidate will typically work under the guidance of senior and/or mid-level engineers. The mechanical design scope will be a part of a broader project and therefore this candidate will learn to interface with design leads within SMC (electrical, telecommunications, fire protection, plumbing) as well as externally including architectural, civil, structural, etc. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, is eager to learn, and wants to grow their expertise and career at as rapid a pace as suits them. This position is open to full time, part time, and internship/co-op applicants.

RESPONSIBILITIES
