Spring 2027 Actuarial Intern (Part-Time, On-Site) - Bloomfield, CT

Spend your spring semester exploring healthcare actuarial work and building the foundational skills needed to grow as a modern actuary. The Cigna Group’s Actuarial Executive Development Program (AEDP) offers a unique part-time actuarial internship for students earlier in their actuarial career journey. The experience is designed to complement an academic schedule while helping students prepare for the depth, pace, and expectations of a future summer internship. Throughout the spring, interns will gain guided exposure to how actuaries use data to solve healthcare business problems and support important decisions. You’ll contribute to a meaningful project, strengthen your analytical and professional skills, learn how tools such as AI and advanced analytics are used in practice, and build relationships with experienced actuaries. The focus is on exploration, learning, and readiness for a broader summer internship experience—not simply completing a short-term healthcare experience. This part-time experience is intentionally designed as a steppingstone toward the AEDP summer internship the following year, which remains our primary and more comprehensive pathway for developing actuarial talent. Successful participation may position students for consideration for a future summer opportunity, but the spring internship does not replace the summer internship or guarantee selection.
