Love where you work! Learn valuable skills and begin your career in Pitt-Athletics! Pitt-Bradford—a NCAA Division III institution—is looking for a Swimming Coach Intern. This is a temporary, on-site, 10-month position. Duties: Primarily reporting to the head swim coach, the assistant coach will support the head coach in all phases of the swim program. Responsibilities include coaching and teaching (75%25) and administrative duties (25%25).
Coaching responsibilities
Assist with and provide instruction during practices and matches. Support player development through individual and team sessions.
Recruiting responsibilities
Assist with both on-campus and off-campus recruiting efforts. Coordinate campus visits for prospective student-athletes.
Administrative duties
Monitor academic progress and provide support for student-athletes. Assist with contest management and event operations as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of 1 year of playing and/or coaching experience at the college level. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work in a diverse community. Willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel as needed. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment. First Aid, CPR, and AED Certifications required.
