Civil Engineer Intern

Position: Civil Engineer Intern Travel: yes, depending on site locations (will be assigned to a site for the summer) Start Date; May 2027 We are currently looking for Interns pursuing a B.S. in Civil Engineering to join our Wagman Heavy Civil team. Reporting to direct field supervision, the Intern will be assigned various tasks from management and work with the engineering team on the assigned project. The ideal candidate should be able to take and follow instructions as well as be able to work independently and communicate effectively. This position works alongside the entire Project Team to support the completion of assigned construction projects and ensures all plans move forward to meet projected deadlines in a safe manner. This is a safety sensitive position requiring work on construction sites with various safety hazards inherent in heavy construction. This position is subject to drug testing and compliance policies associated with our status as a Federal Contractor. Wagman is a fourth generation, family-owned company with offices in Pennsylvania and Virginia. Founded in 1902, Wagman is a nationally recognized leader in the industry. Core competencies include: design-build, infrastructure, marine construction, modified concrete, grooving and grinding, and geotechnical construction services. The following essential functions will be performed under the general direction of managers in various departments of the company: Will support our experienced engineering team with their civil construction duties and shadow their day-to-day actions that may include, but not limited to:

• Assist in preparing work plans.
• Track and record field production quantities
• Assist with quantity takeoffs for concrete and earthwork operations
• Coordinating subcontractor work
• Procuring materials and equipment for upcoming work and track quantities
• Perform schedule updates and generating report updates of project progress
• Perform document control tracking and processing
