Transit and Rail Engineering Intern- Summer 2027

Our D.C transportation team is seeking a Temp, Full-Time, Transit and Rail Engineering Intern to work out of our Washington, D. C. office. This position is geared towards currently enrolled 3rd year Undergraduates but open to enrolled Undergraduate/Master & PhD students.

This internship will be part of the WSP Summer Internship Program. As a summer intern, you have the opportunity to participate in our 12-week program scheduled to start on May 17th, 2027. The individual start date of the internship may be flexible.

YOUR IMPACT

• Support a variety of engineering and engineering decision making tasks.
• Learn basic principles of Transit Program Management which includes workflow

management, Project Management, Construction Management, Asset Management, or Transportation Planning. which include workflow management

• Assist in preparing comparative analysis of alternatives for technical

management decision making

• Support preparation of project scopes and cost estimates
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds,

resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures

• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs
