Area Engineering Electric Distribution Intern- CO

Work as an entry level engineer doing tasks that support electric reliability, power quality, system protection and plant betterment to improve the electric distribution system. Through practical operations experience and mentoring, a successful candidate will gain significant professional confidence and people skills. Typical intern responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Assist with distribution system analysis and feeder performance evaluations
• Review outage data and reliability metrics (e.g., SAIDI, SAIFI, CAIDI) to identify trends
• Prepare and support Project Planning & Execution submittals
• Apply and verify compliance with electric standards, construction practices, and engineering guidelines
• Analyze power quality measurements, including voltage, current, flicker, and harmonics
• Assist Area Engineers with capital project tracking and documentation
• Work closely with Area Engineers, project managers, planners, designers, and operations personnel
• Communicate & prepare technical summaries, reports, and presentations for engineering staff
