Position Summary

The Product Engineer Intern will support the Product Engineering team through a combination of project-based assignments and day-to-day engineering activities. This internship provides exposure to product design, development, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives. The intern will contribute to departmental goals by assisting with engineering documentation, product evaluations, and technical analysis while also leading or supporting up to three meaningful projects focused on enhancing product performance, quality, manufacturability, or overall engineering processes.

Responsibilities

Lead independent summer project/s focused on improving the design, cost and manufacturability of ABEC’s Stainless Steel Product Line. Design and perform testing to characterize potential improvements. Assist in all stages of product development by conducting research, gathering data, and providing input on product features and improvements. Create prototypes and proof-of-concept models for new product ideas, ensuring they align with project goals and specifications.
