Looking to gain practical, hands-on experience in the field of cloud engineering? The Enterprise Technology & Security Summer Internship Program is a critical program within Enterprise Technology & Security Services that helps passionate early career professionals gain real-world exposure to groundbreaking technology.

This Internship program begins in late May 2027, and will be based out of one of our headquarters in Johnston, RI, Phoenix, AZ, or Plano, TX

Cloud Engineer Track

Cloud Engineer Interns work alongside engineers to help modernize the way Citizens stores and accesses data. Working in a collaborative environment, interns will enhance cloud engineering expertise while helping to seize opportunities for cloud implementation.

Through hands-on experience in this role, the Cloud Engineer Intern will:

• Gain exposure to blueprint design and cloud architecture concepts while

contributing to the development of cloud-based solutions.

• Develop an understanding of cloud-based solution implementation by helping

support cloud technologies across the organization.

• Strengthen technical problem-solving skills through providing technical

support to cloud solution end users and partners.

• Build experience monitoring the performance of cloud applications and

solutions and identifying opportunities for improvement.

• Develop a strong foundation in cloud security and engineering best practices

by supporting adherence to cybersecurity protocols and collaborating with cybersecurity and software engineering teams.
