Human Resources Intern

Horizon Farm Credit is seeking a full-time Human Resources Intern for the summer of 2027 in our Westminster, MD, branch location. Summer Intern hours are typically Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The internship program is scheduled to run from mid-May through early August 2027. Position Overview This internship position at Horizon Farm Credit will support efforts within the Human Resources department to help plan and execute initiatives that promote and support the Human Resources Department within the organization. This internship offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a variety of HR functions, including recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, and various additional HR areas.

Areas of responsibility include

• Assist with recruiting efforts, including posting job openings, reviewing

resumes, and coordinating interviews.

• Support onboarding processes by helping prepare materials and assisting with

new hire orientation.

• Help with facilitation of HFC’s internship program.
• Maintain HR databases and files with confidentiality and accuracy.
• Assist with documenting workflows and identifying ways to make HR processes

more efficient, accurate, and employee-friendly.

• Participate in internal communication initiatives.
• Partner with HR professionals on real projects that support our employees,

strengthen HR operations, and improve how we work.

• Provide general administrative support
