Job Summary

The Construction Engineer and Inspection (CEI) Intern will join our team in May of 2027 for a 12-week internship., office. The CEI Intern will assist our team with infrastructure projects involving roads, bridges, and utilities. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to apply academic knowledge to real-world scenarios and develop practical skills in the field of construction engineering and inspection. The intern will work under the guidance of experienced professionals and support various aspects of project management, quality assurance, and field inspections. All employment offers are contingent upon the applicant successfully completing drug and background screenings. Internships provide an opportunity to be part of a diverse and engaged community of professionals and to be treated as a respected and valued member of the ICE team. Position Summary

• Assist with monitoring, testing and conformance of client/contractor work on various projects to ensure plans, specifications, materials, traffic & erosion control devices, quality assurance and safety standards are met
• Perform engineering inspection activities such as construction observation, conducting field tests for concrete, asphalt, & earthworks under the supervision of a senior engineer
• Ensure all materials, procedures and safety rules comply with the latest DOT standards.
