Labcorp is seeking a Lab Assistant Intern to join our Research and Development Team located in Burlington, NC! Work Schedule: M-F / 1st shift / 40hrs per week

Job Responsibilities

Learn about clinical testing and processes behind testing development Learn industry techniques behind Next Generation Sequencing Development lead for a genetic transplant assay Maintain clear, thorough, and accurate experiment notes (or lab notebook) Apply Microsoft Excel for complex biological data analysis

Minimum Qualifications

Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or Biomedical Sciences

Preferred Qualifications

3-6 months experience in cell or molecular biology-based laboratory classes 3-6 months knowledge or experience with Next Generation Sequencing technologies 1+ year experience in Microsoft Excel Additional Job Standards Interest in chemistry, biology, or related lab sciences Interest in clinical testing or molecular research fields Demonstrate strong attention to detail and willingness to follow laboratory procedures Eagerness to learn new laboratory skil
