Media Relations Intern

Internship Description/Learning Objectives

Assist with the digital marketing and messaging of opportunities offered by the Metropolitan Action Commission for area youth through storytelling, public relations, and social media. Uphold the Mission, Vision and Core Values of Metro Action including internal and external customer service, teamwork and treatment of all persons with respect, dignity and compassion.

Job Duties

• Under supervision, social media and content creation/marketing tasks such as

assistance in managing our social platforms

• Assist with development of employability-focused opportunities and resources

for young people.

• Strong writing, verbal communication and teamwork skills

• Monitor social media accounts daily to ensure we are providing timely and

appropriate replies and interaction with our followers

• Performs other related duties as assigned

Preferred Competencies

• Proficient in Social Media skills required; will train on organization-level

social media, but must have a working knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, and Twi
