DESCRIPTION

Michael Baker International is seeking Summer 2027 Civil Engineering Interns to support our Texas offices. In this internship, you will primarily be responsible for civil design and analysis of civil engineering and infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, and drainage projects, depending on availability/interest. You will leverage your engineering knowledge and skills to prepare basic studies, construction documents, drawing, maps, reposts and supporting documentation and calculations.

This opportunity is open to all students seeking an internship within Civil Engineering, with special consideration to students interested in Drainage, Bridge, and Highway. Possible work locations include Houston, Dallas, Austin, or San Antonio, TX.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Currently enrolled in pursuit of a Bachelors or Masters degree required.
• 0 - 2+ years of progressive roadway/highway design experience.
• Minimum 2 years of completed coursework towards degree of study required.
• Ability to build relationships with a wide variety of people, multitask and

prioritize competing project obligations.

• Strong English language skills, written and verbal are essential to long term

success in this role.
