Job Description

RESPEC is seeking a Student Structural BIM Intern to join our 2027 Summer Internship Program in our Rapid City office. This position offers an excellent opportunity for students interested in structural drafting, BIM modeling, and design support to gain real-world experience within a growing North American engineering consulting firm. This hands-on internship is within RESPEC’s Facilities (Structural) Market Sector and focuses on Building Information Modeling (BIM) and structural drafting support. The intern will work closely with structural engineers and designers to assist with the development and coordination of structural models and construction documents. Under the guidance of experienced staff, the intern will receive mentoring and exposure to professional consulting services, interdisciplinary collaboration, and real project workflows.
