Financial Reporting Intern, Fall 2026

RWE Americas, LLCTo start as soon as possible, full time, fixed termFunctional area: Finance / ControllingRemuneration: Non-Exempt This internship supports the Financial Reporting team by assisting with financial reporting, automation initiatives, documentation improvements, and the preparation of quarterly financial statements. The role provides hands-on experience with financial reporting processes, audit support, and the renewable energy industry while helping improve the accuracy and efficiency of department operations.

Role Responsibilities

Support the accounting and financial reporting teams in the preparation, review, and optimization of financial reporting models Enhance Workiva model automation and process efficiency Assist in assembling, editing, and standardizing documentation of financial reporting processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and clarity throughout all deliverables Collaborate effectively with team members to collect accounting information for audit support, external auditor inquiries, and ad hoc requests related to financial statements Develop and expand knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP accounting standards and the renewable energy sector

Job Requirements and Experience

Currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance at an accredited US university program Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel

Demonstrated experience in data analysis and optimization to streamline data processing and enhance accuracy and efficiency is a plus Ability to work onsite in Chicago, IL throughout the fall program
