Shimmick is actively hiring Field Engineer Interns for our Summer 2027 Internship program based in our Pacific Northwest Division. Exact location is to be determined, but opportunities exist throughout the greater Seattle area. Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Performing assignments that require the application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria’s to carry out engineering tasks. Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities. Preparing engineering related calculations and developing drawings and visual aids. Assisting with field inspections to evaluate the work performed and materials used. Assisting with construction administration and documentation of deficiencies and deviations from plans. Working under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member.
