Position Summary
Under general supervision of the Rentals Manager the Rentals Work Study Intern is responsible for upholding Explora’s customer service standards while booking rental services for internal and external clients. The Rentals Work Study Intern is responsible for supporting the operations and logistics for rentals at Explora; such as, setting up and tearing down for events. The Rentals Work Study Intern will work closely with the Rentals Manager and Administrative Assistant, Rentals Assistant, Event Staff, and the Facilities Department. The Rentals Work Study Intern will be the point of contact for event vendors, assisting with setting up, tearing down, and closing exhibits. The Rentals Work Study Intern will serve as a backup for the Rentals Assistant in assisting with equipment maintenance. This position regularly requires work on evenings and weekends as needed and determined by the Rentals Manager. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides logistical and operational assistance for rentals, to include:
o Overseeing the setup and tear down for events in accordance with Work Orders o Participate in security operations by assisting with fire alarms and with emergency situations o Creating a welcoming environment for all Explora clients and partners o Answering questions and problem-solving issues as they arise o Must be able to work independently to carry out delegated tasks prep
